LCWAG Inducts Eight into Loudoun’s Women Hall of Fame

The Loudoun Coalition on Women and Girls (LCWAG) inducted eight stellar women into Loudoun County’s first-ever Loudoun’s Women Hall of Fame. The honorees were nominated by members of the public earlier this year and were announced today at the Award Luncheon held at Lightfoot Restaurant.

The Hall of Fame was established to preserve and amplify the legacy of Loudoun's most extraordinary women and inspire future generations of women and girls to greater achievement. Our goal is to share the stories of the women who are shaping Loudoun’s history in the Arts, Community Service, Education, Leadership, Health, Science, Social Justice, and Business.

The event was generously sponsored by Backflow Technology; BCT - The Community's Bank; CEO Consulting Group, LLC; UNO Translations and Communications and You’ve Got Maids of Northern Virginia.  Stacey Metcalfe, Executive Director & CEO of Morven Park served as Mistress of Ceremonies for the event.

“By establishing the Loudoun’s Women Hall of Fame, LCWAG ensures that women’s legacies and achievements will be forever immortalized inspiring generations to come,” said LCWAG Chair Ferri Riar.

On hand to support the honorees were Chair of the Loudoun Board of Supervisors - Phyllis Randall, Town of Leesburg Mayor Kelly Burke, Town of Leesburg, Vice Mayor Neil Steinberg, business and nonprofit leaders, close friends, colleagues and of course, family members.
