LCWAG PRIVACY POLICY

Effective February 12, 2023

Who We Are

This is the Privacy Policy for the Loudoun Coalition on Women and Girls, a Virginia nonstock corporation (“LCWAG”). We can be reached by email at coalitionchair@lcwag.org.

LCWAG values individual privacy and we want to give our website visitors the opportunity to know what information we collect about them and how they can limit the use of personally-identifiable information beyond the purposes for which they first provided it. At all times, however, LCWAG reserves the right to disclose information where required by law or to comply with valid legal process, to protect LCWAG's rights or property or during emergencies when safety is at risk.

Whenever we change our policy, we will post a notice on our home page.  Since these policy change notices last only for a limited time, however, you should check this Privacy Policy regularly to see if there have been any changes.

Personally Identifiable Information

We collect your email address if you communicate with us by email, as well as other information that you might supply voluntarily, such as survey information or contact information you provide when making a donation or registering for our events or programs (including names, addresses, phone, fax and email addresses).

We may use this information to respond to an email or other inquiry or request, to help improve our website and our services, to successfully deliver our events or programs, or to send updates or notices about our organization and the programs we offer that we think may be of interest to you.

Information Sharing

LCWAG may share statistical or demographic information in aggregate form with third parties for marketing or research purposes, applying for grants, or reporting to a grant-making organization, which enables us to obtain funding to offer our programs.  This aggregate data will not contain any information that personally identifies you.

We may partner with a third party in order to obtain access to specialized services or to offer specific programs. When we do so and you sign up for these services or programs, we will share such personal information as is necessary for the delivery of the services or success of the program. Any recipient of such information is required to restrict use solely to furtherance of the purposes for which the services are intended. However, third parties may store, collect or otherwise have access to your information when you interact with their tracing technologies. We are not responsible for the privacy policies and practices of such third parties and, therefore, you should review such third-party privacy policies and practices prior to interacting with them.

Information Collected by Third Party Websites and Applications

We use new technologies and social media options to communicate and interact with you and the public. We maintain accounts on third party websites, such as Eventbrite, Constant Contact, and social media sites, as tools to better interact with the public. Your activity on those third-party websites is governed by the security and policies of those sites.

LCWAG’s privacy policy extends to our website only. Other Internet sites you visit - including those linked from our website - may have their own privacy policies or no policy at all. We strongly encourage you to review the privacy policies of any site before providing any personal information to ensure that you understand how your information may be used.

How You Can Control and Update Data about You

We want to be sure that we keep only the most accurate and up-to-date information about you in our records. Therefore, whenever you believe that your contact information needs to be updated, you can email us at coalitionchair@lcwag.org to correct or update your contact information.

You may choose at any time to remove your name, telephone and fax numbers, and postal and email addresses from the lists we use to send notices or updates and elect not to receive correspondence from us by emailing at coalitionchair@lcwag.org.

Users may request that LCWAG refrain from disclosing to third parties the data it collects by contacting LCWAG at coalitionchair@lcwag.org.

Data Integrity and Security

We have reasonable security measures in place on our web server to keep any information you provide to protect against the loss, misuse or alteration of information. However, no data transmission over the Internet, mobile networks, wireless transmission or electronic storage of information can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Please note that we cannot ensure the security of any information that you transmit to us. You use our Site and provide us with your information at your own risk.

Children's Privacy

We recognize the need to provide further privacy protections for children. Some of our programs and services are directed to children. For those programs, we will collect, use and disclose information as described in this Privacy Policy except as outlined below.

To the extent that we collect personally identifiable data with respect to a person under the age of 18, we will request that that information be submitted by a parent or guardian, or request permission from that parent or guardian prior to collection. If the child is under the age of 13, we will only collect information directly from the parent or guardian.

Personal data may be retained as needed to plan and operate our programs, or to notify participants of future opportunities or programs that may be of interest to them. Personal information may be shared outside of LCWAG with a contractor providing services that are integral to the program, as required by law, in the event of an emergency or, when applicable, with prior consent from their parent or guardian.

At any time, a parent or guardian can refuse to permit us to collect personal information from their child and can request that we delete from our records the personal information we have in our possession.  If you have any questions or concerns about our approach to children’s privacy, you want to access your child’s data, or request the deletion of your child’s data, please contact us at coalitionchair@lcwag.org.
