— Women emPower
Economic independence, leadership and well-being for women in Loudoun County.
Women EmPower is a program of the Loudoun Coalition on Women and Girls (LCWAG) designed to advance economic empowerment, leadership development and personal well-being for women and girls in Loudoun County.
Through skills training, practical resources and community partnerships, Women EmPower helps women strengthen economic stability for themselves and their families through career opportunities, certification pathways, entrepreneurship and lifelong learning.
Built on What Women Asked For
LCWAG has long supported women’s economic independence through employment and entrepreneurship. In 2024, community feedback helped expand this work to better meet the needs of women at different stages of life and career.
Survey data showed strong interest in career certifications, workshops, webinars and online learning. Younger women emphasized the need for credentials and technical skills, while mid-career professionals expressed interest in flexible, ongoing professional development.
Support That Lasts All Year – and Beyond
Women EmPower responds to these needs with year-round programming focused on business, healthcare, education, entrepreneurship and other areas of opportunity. The program also connects participants with local subject matter experts and partners who support women’s safety, mental health and wellness as essential parts of long-term success.
The Annual Seminar
Each year, Women EmPower hosts a half-day seminar that brings together speakers, experts, community partners and participants for learning, networking and practical skill-building. The seminar highlights pathways to economic independence and creates space for women to explore opportunities, share experiences and access tools that support their personal and professional growth.
EmPOWERment begins with opportunity.
